Knossos is the largest Bronze Age archaeology with the remains of the site which is very rare and is one of the oldest cities in Europe. The Palace was built on the Neolithic town. And this name is used only for the archaeological site located on the outskirts of Heraklion to expand very large sites. The Palace was inhabited for several thousand years, beginning with a Neolithic settlement and the Millennium ke7 and abandoned after the destruction in 1375 BC that marked the end of the Minoan civilization. The first Palace on the top of a low Hill beside the river Krairatos was built around 1900 BC on the ruins of earlier settlements. And it was destroyed for the first time with The Protopalatial around Crete in 1700.
