Lantau Island is the largest island in Hong Kong with beautiful natural scenery and stunning beaches around the Hall and is located at the mouth of the Pearl River. Lantau and Tuen Mun was first the first European trading settlements in the Pearl River region, which was founded by Portuguese traders in the year 1510. The Portuguese left the settlement in about 1517, years after the defeat of the Chinese troops. Later, the island became an important trading post for the United Kingdom, before the British people are interested in the Hong Kong Island.
