Lefkada Island is the island is fertile and very green in the Interior and has a mountainous area with two high peaks. Lefkada Island in the Ionian Sea is located on the West coast of mainland Greece. This impressive island joining Greece with a floating bridge, so that visitors don’t have to take a ferry to get there. Lefkada Island consists of olive groves and vineyards. The villages on Lefkada Island, such as Agios Nikitas, Sivota, Vassiliki, the work, the shaft and Kalamitsi, have their own salient features that solo charm. In particular, Vassiliki is popular for windsurfing, mountain village Paper offers stunning views, Kalamitsi is located near the stunning beaches with three, while Agios Nikitas, Sivota and Poros offers an interesting atmosphere for the holidays. In addition to the traditional villages and the beautiful scenery, Lefkada Island is mainly famous for its stunning beaches. Porto Katsiki, Egremni and Kathisma are just a few of the impressive beaches on Lefkada. With crystal water, relaxing beaches and surrounded by rocky cliffs, the beach is among the three best beaches in the Mediterranean Sea. Very popular is also the Agios Ioannis, in the afternoon where the wind is perfect for windsurfing and kite surfing. While the West side of Lefkada Island is famous for its impressive beaches, the East side has beautiful villages. Nidri, for example, is a popular tourist resort and a small harbour which serves ferries to Lefkada, Meganisi, like Ithaca or smaller islands, such as Kalamos and Kastos. Although less commercialized then the neighboring island of Lefkada offers a wide choice of hotels, apartments and villas, both in the main tourist areas and in quieter more secluded area of the Hill.
