Villa Ada is a very beautiful park and the largest park in Rome with amazing lake views. The Park is located in the north-eastern part of the city. Villa Ada is encompassed approximately 460 hectares and is the second largest after the Villa Doria Pamphili. Originally the Villa is owned by The Savoia, Royal family of the Kingdom of Italy, from 1872 to 1878, when the Royal family got the land back, in 1904, they kept the name of this Villa. And their residence until the end of the war in 1946. Before the first purchased by the Savoys, this Villa has served as the capital of Ireland in the 17th century and are mainly used for agricultural purpose here. Currently part of the Villa is privately owned and the Embassy of Egypt. Half of this area contains an artificial lake and there is a wide variety of trees, including rare metasequoia brought by Rome in 1940.
